The Backpack Project

"Since 2007, Detroit streets have been receiving supply-filled backpacks. Led by Doxie of Burners without Borders Detroit and with the support of many volunteers these backpacks are delivered to people living on the streets with a moment of warm human connection, eye contact, a conversation, a handshake, or a hug." -Burners Without Borders

Our own member Ashley B. here in Chicago helped to organize and fund Chicago's contribution to this project. We intend to continue to support this project initiative going forward Check back for more information on how to help with this project in Chicago!
